🌎 Let’s Celebrate Inclusion on Wednesday, March 4!
What does inclusion look like?
It’s a high five in the hallway.
A compliment to a classmate.
Saying hello to someone new.
For individuals with intellectual disabilities, inclusion isn’t just important — it’s essential for belonging and acceptance.
On Wednesday, March 4, give a high five, offer a compliment, or simply say hi to someone new. Let’s make inclusion visible across Wakulla County Schools.
Students can sign the Pledge for Inclusion at their school and commit to choosing kindness, respect, and acceptance.

🎳 Second Grade Field Trip Fun at the Bowling Alley! 🚌
Friday our students had a blast on their field trip to the bowling alley! There were smiles, high-fives, and plenty of strikes and spares as everyone showed off their bowling skills.
But it wasn’t just fun and games — we turned our trip into a hands-on science lesson, too! 🧪✨ Students explored force and motion by observing how the amount of force they used affected the speed of the bowling ball and how motion changed when the ball hit the pins.
It was amazing to see learning come to life outside the classroom. Experiences like these help students connect what we study to the real world in exciting and memorable ways.

Today our third graders rotated through classrooms learning about influential leaders who shaped history. From Simone Biles to George Washington Carver, Duke Ellington, Mae Jemison, and Harriet Tubman — students explored courage, creativity, perseverance, and impact.

Shadeville Elementary would like to extend a huge thank you to all the dads and father figures who showed up for our All Pro Dad Fist Bump Friday! 👊
Your smiles, encouragement, and high-fives helped create an energetic, positive start to the day for our students.
We are grateful for the time you give and the example you set — thank you for being part of the Shadeville family!

Join us on Tuesday, March 3rd, at Shadeville for our SAC and Volunteer Meeting and for our Title One Night!

On Friday, 2nd grade got big cans from the cafeteria and students painted and decorated them to exchange Valentines! It was in an effort to show them that we can up-cycle & reuse things that people throw away.

Mrs. Houston's first grade class had a colorful day Friday! Students exchanged Valentines, completed Sweetheart experiments, and water-colored creative art expressions with a gift set from Mrs. Houston.

All schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observation of Presidents' Day.

First grade is learning all about comparing numbers! Math is "greater than" with candy hearts!
