Our fourth and fifth graders went "under the sea" in music class last week! They completed a rhythm scavenger hunt where they had to find each sea creature hidden around the room and write out the rhythm for that creature. 🐳🦀🐡

Welcome to the Team!~

This morning’s Back-to-School Faculty & Staff Pep Rally was one for the books!

Teachers and staff from every corner of Wakulla County Schools packed the Wakulla High School gym to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with school spirit and pride. It was the first district-wide Welcome Back Pep Rally under Superintendent Rick Myhre, and the energy was undeniable.

From the moment they arrived, attendees were greeted by the powerful sounds of the Wakulla High School Marching Band, the WHS Color Guard, and cheerleaders from Riversprings Middle, Wakulla Middle, and Wakulla High—creating a high-energy welcome that set the tone for the year ahead.

🎤 Powerful words were shared by District Employee of the Year Sean Simmons, followed by Colleen Maley, 2025 District Teacher of the Year, who set the gym—and Superintendent Myhre—on fire with her inspiring message.

📸 Check out some highlights from today (AND to find out which school won the 2025 SPIRIT STICK!)>> https://youtu.be/l8wIXzeehtQ

A grab-and-go breakfast was provided to keep our educators fueled as they headed into a day of professional learning and preparation for students’ return.

🙏 Special thanks to our generous sponsors who made the event possible:
Centennial Bank • English Financial Group • Myra Jeans • Publix • Jones Plumbing • C&L Pilings • Dunkin Donuts • Civic Brewing

This is just the beginning—big things are ahead for Wakulla County Schools in 2025–2026!
