First grade made their mark on the world on Friday. They read The Dot and expressed their creative abilities by working together and creating beautiful sidewalk art!

We are thrilled to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year!
Please note that Monday, August 11 will be an early release day for all schools. (See graphic for dismissal times.)
🚗 Friendly Reminder: The first week of school means new routines, new policies, and plenty of excitement! Please be extra mindful of traffic and school zones as our students, families, and buses adjust to the new year. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work to keep students safe and ensure smooth dismissal during the first week.
Here’s to making 2025–2026 our best year yet! 🍎📖

This morning’s Back-to-School Faculty & Staff Pep Rally was one for the books!
Teachers and staff from every corner of Wakulla County Schools packed the Wakulla High School gym to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with school spirit and pride. It was the first district-wide Welcome Back Pep Rally under Superintendent Rick Myhre, and the energy was undeniable.
From the moment they arrived, attendees were greeted by the powerful sounds of the Wakulla High School Marching Band, the WHS Color Guard, and cheerleaders from Riversprings Middle, Wakulla Middle, and Wakulla High—creating a high-energy welcome that set the tone for the year ahead.
🎤 Powerful words were shared by District Employee of the Year Sean Simmons, followed by Colleen Maley, 2025 District Teacher of the Year, who set the gym—and Superintendent Myhre—on fire with her inspiring message.
