Thank you to our incredible Automotive program at Wakulla High School!

After the Keep Wakulla County Beautiful Apalachicola National Forest Cleanup, dozens of tires were left behind—and without help, the county would have had to cover the cost of removal.

Mr. Usherwood’s class stepped up without hesitation. Our students got to work removing rims from 40–50 tires, helping prepare them for proper disposal and saving valuable county resources.

This is what Career & Technical Education is all about—real skills, real work, and real impact in our community.

Keep up the great work, War Eagles!

War Eagle Track is ON FIRE!

Our Wakulla War Eagles have been making serious moves on tracks across the region check out this update on their season so far!

Before Spring Break at the Tariq Barfield Invitational:
David Whitaker dominated with 1st place finishes in both Long Jump and Triple Jump
Sion Garrett placed 3rd in Shot Put
Amariyah Donaldson placed 2nd in her FIRST-EVER High Jump

After the break, the momentum only continued:

At the FSU Relays (3/28)
David Whitaker competed against top athletes from multiple states and earned:
• 8th in Long Jump
• 6th in Triple Jump
Both were personal records

We wish David good luck as he attend the Pepsi Relays at UF this weekend, another topflight event!

On March 31st at the Rickards Senior Night Meet
Sion Garrett placed 1st in both Shot Put and Discus
Jacob Kinsey recorded a personal best in Discus
Amariyah Donaldson won High Jump with a PR of 5’2”

On April 2, our War Eagles attended the Walton Braves Invitational
Sion Garrett placed 1st in Shot Put with a PR of 10.65m
Amariyah Donaldson placed 1st in High Jump
CJ Whitehead placed 3rd in Shot Put with a PR of 12.71m
Our girls 4x100 relay team --Madison Bridges, Antrice Bradwell, Kiley Turner, Akayla Joaceus-Graha-- placed 2nd with a new PR of 50.95

This is what War Eagle Pride looks like—hard work, personal bests, and strong finishes across every event.

We’re proud of these athletes and their coaches for continuing to represent Wakulla at such a high level.

Keep it going, War Eagles!

We are beyond proud to recognize THREE All Big Bend Players of the Year right here at Wakulla High School—representing girls wrestling, boys’ varsity soccer, and girls’ varsity basketball!

To have not just one, but THREE athletes earn this honor is something special. It reflects their talent, grit, and relentless work ethic—and highlights the strength of our athletic programs across the board.

These athletes didn’t just compete—they stood out among the best in the entire Big Bend region. That’s War Eagle excellence!

Let’s hear it for our All Big Bend Players of the Year, Dax Dichio, Amariyah Donaldson, and Kendal Haynie ! 👏
