Wakulla High's amazing and spectacular NJROTC program is hosting their annual NJROTC boot camp! For those of you desiring to join NJROTC, we have the perfect program to get you prepared for the school year. During the first week of June, join us as we help you push yourself and discover your true potential all while learning AND having fun!

🗓️ Mark your calendars because you DO NOT want to miss out. The boot camp will be held June 1st through the 5th from 0800 (8AM) to 1400 (2PM). We'll teach you the basics and help you form strong bonds with your peers.

For any questions you may have, whether you're a wakulla high student or a middle schooler, you or your parents/guardians can contact our awesome instructor, Gunnery Sergeant Micheal Long at Micheal.Long@wcsb.us.

The Florida Department of Corrections is hosting a hiring event Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the TSC Union Ballroom. The event would allow recent graduates to apply, fill out additional documentation, and interview on the spot. Pay begins at $22/hour with an array of benefits for career service employees. Check out the flyer attached for more information about becoming a Correctional Officer and this hiring event.

As we prepare to celebrate the Wakulla High School Class of 2026, we ask all attending guests to review important ceremony reminders before arriving next Thursday evening, May 21, 2026.

This year, in an abundance of caution and to help ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, a clear bag policy will be strictly enforced. All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.

Additional reminders:
•Main Gates will open for guests at 7:00PM.
•All guests MUST present a wristband for entry.
•Graduation Ceremony will begin at 8:00PM.
•Clear bag policy will be strictly enforced. All bags will be checked at the entrance.
•Please remain seated unless requested to stand.
•No noisemakers are to be used.
•No vaping or smoking is permitted on school grounds.
•Please make arrangements to meet your graduate at your vehicle or at a designated location outside of the stadium. Field access will not be permitted.

Day 5 marked the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, and what an incredible week it has been for our teachers and staff. 💙

Teachers were treated to breakfast from Dunkin’ Donuts with coffee generously donated to help start the day, followed by lunch from San Marcos Mexican Grill.

As we wrap up this special week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every business, organization, and community member who donated food, gift cards, funding, gifts, and support to help make this week possible. From meals and coffee to gift cards and special surprises, our teachers truly felt appreciated all week long.

A special thank you as well to Texas Roadhouse, First Watch, Jimmy John’s, Bonefish Grill, The Driftwood, Hamaknockers, Breakfast Station, Lucky Goat, Village Pizza, Gaines Street Pies, Walk-On’s, Songbird Nails, and Atlas Coffee for donating gift cards and experiences for our teachers. The excitement and gratitude from our staff was evident every single day.

To Mr. Ryan Warner and all of our Wakulla High Culinary students, we appreciate how you all went above and beyond throughout the entire week to serve our teachers.

To Mrs. Dollar and Mrs. Cook, Your hard work behind the scenes helped make each day special, and we are so thankful for the care and effort you put into celebrating our faculty and staff.

To everyone who contributed in big ways and small ways — thank you for helping us show appreciation the people who pour so much into our students every day. Our teachers felt loved, supported, and appreciated all week long.

Thursday was Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week, and our teachers continued to feel the love from this amazing community! 💙

Breakfast was made possible by Mathers Electric, and a very special thank you goes to our Wakulla High Culinary students and staff for preparing and serving breakfast for our teachers and staff.

Lunch from Zaxby's was provided through the generosity of Bluewater Realty and Lowe Legal & Title.

We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Southern Pipe & Supply, Gene Cutchins Construction, Young Family Funeral Home, Wakulla Realty, and Centennial Bank for helping provide extra special gifts for our teachers and staff this week, including shirts and tote bags. Your support and generosity helped make this week even more meaningful.

Thank you as well to everyone who donated gift cards and experiences for our teachers, including Jason’s Deli, Bumpa’s, Table 23, Salty Donkey, Donkey’s, Bagigio’s, Little Napoli, Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory, Connors, Paddy’s Raw Bar, Dunkin’, Gem Nail Bar, Seinyard Wildwood, and Bella Bella.

We are so grateful for the businesses, organizations, and community members who continue to show up for our teachers in such thoughtful ways throughout this week.
