Wakulla High School letterman jackets are back for the 2026–2027 school year! With the recent district technology disruptions, we wanted to make sure families have the ordering information.

Students may qualify after two years of varsity participation and contribution in a WHS athletic program or extracurricular activity. This recognition is intended primarily for seniors, though juniors who meet the requirement may also qualify.

Jackets can be ordered at www.floridaletterjackets.com or through the QR code on the flyer. WHS must verify each student’s eligibility before the order is processed.

We’re excited to bring back this War Eagle tradition and recognize our students’ dedication and commitment!

Internet service has been restored across Wakulla County Schools. Our IT Department continues troubleshooting remaining issues, and some users may experience intermittent internet disruptions while that work is ongoing.

Regular district and school phone lines are still not operational. Families should continue using the temporary phone numbers previously provided or contact their school-based administrator or identified point of contact by email.

Families needing Transportation assistance may call 850-926-5750 or email scott.payne@wcsb.us.

We would like families to know that the disruption was caused by a failure of the district’s main network switch. As our IT team worked to restore service, additional configuration issues delayed the return to full and stable connectivity. District data and systems remained secure throughout the outage.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as our IT team continues working toward full and reliable restoration of all services. We will share updates as additional progress is made.

Today is the last day to register your student for the Color Guard & Drill Team clinic!
The clinic is on September 25th, and students will perform pre-game at the varsity football game against Suwannee that night!
Purchase your ticket on GoFan by September 16th in order to secure your t-shirt and poms!
If your child participated last year, all students will be receiving a different shirt and set of poms! Our elementary dance will be featuring "Golden" by Huntrix and “9 to 5” by the one and only Dolly Parton! Our middle school dance will be a mashup featuring "Applause" by Lady Gaga.
Drop off starts at 3:30pm at the high school and students will learn the routine from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

At this time, schools will remain open and operate on their regular schedules tomorrow. Instruction will continue, although some internet-based systems and online resources may be unavailable or limited.

THE NEW DEFINITION OF COLLEGE AND CAREER READY

A new report from the Florida College Access Network highlights Wakulla as a leading example of career dual enrollment in Florida. According to Florida Department of Education data cited by FCAN, 36.1% of Wakulla County’s 2024–25 graduates earned accelerated credit through career dual enrollment—the highest participation rate among Florida’s county-based school districts.

FCAN also notes Wakulla’s more than 30 years of intentional investment, early exposure to career pathways, flexible options and individualized student support.

Partnerships with Lively Technical College and Tallahassee State College help expand these opportunities, allowing students to earn college credit and pursue industry credentials at no cost while preparing for college and a career at the same time.
