Wakulla High School Athletes, register for the ECG heart screening on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at Wakulla Middle School (22 Jean Drive, Crawfordville, 32327) today!

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Florida’s Second Chance Act will require certain student-athletes to complete an ECG screening before participating in school athletics.

Who Must Obtain an ECG:
•All incoming 9th-grade student-athletes (2026-27)
•Any student in grades 10–12 who has never participated in an FHSAA-sanctioned sports
•Returning athletes are not required but strongly encouraged to obtain an ECG. The goal is to identify undetected cardiac risk factors and enhance athlete safety.

Screenings are $20, and financial assistance is available for families who need it. Options will be provided during the registration process.

WHS Parking Permit Information

Wakulla High School parking permits will be available for purchase on the following dates:

Senior Parking Permits Only
July 21–22 | 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Junior & Senior Parking Permits
July 27–30 | 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Parking spaces are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students must complete the parking permit application as part of the process. The cost is $40, and students will receive a hanging parking permit.

Wakulla High School Construction Update 🚧

On June 24, 2026, the first Owner-Architect-Contractor meeting with Allstate Construction was held to review early project progress, upcoming activities, safety protocols, site logistics, and the overall construction schedule of Phase 1. Currently, Phase 1 remains on track, weather permitting. Safety fencing is now in place around demolition and construction areas, parking preparations continue, and families will receive a traffic pattern drawing before the start of the 2026-2027 school year!

During this first phase, drop-off and pick-up traffic patterns will remain the same for returning War Eagles.

🦅 Another successful summer session in the books! Our War Eagles wrapped up an outstanding overnight padded camp at Harris County High School in Georgia. Look at that indoor facility! 👀 The team competed hard, bonded together, and represented Wakulla the right way. Big thanks to Harris County High School and Fox's Pizza Den in Pine Mountain for the hospitality! 📢 Players will have next week off to rest, spend time with family, and stay active before returning Monday, July 6. The work being put in now will determine our success this fall. 🇺🇸 Don’t forget to catch WHS Football players and coaches at the Sopchoppy 4th of July Parade!
